The primary goal of Food Education is to provide children with the “Power to produce food”, a basic skill necessary for living a healthy and high quality life in the future.
Here at Shinaikai we hope that children will develop into individuals who enjoy producing and consuming good food while attempting to realize the following goals.

Nourishing their ability to achieve a healthy body and mind, as well as a healthy and safe life through food.
Fostering independence and developing the ability to feel familiarity with people, to support and be supported by people, through the use of food.
Helping children to understand the deep connections between food and culture, and how food and culture mutually influence one another.
Teaching to value all life, including their own, through food.
Getting children to look at ingredients through food, build an interest in those ingredients, and create an interest in cooking.
We provide healthy meals based on the traditional Japanese diet, prepared slowly and carefully by veteran cooks under the direction of nutritionists. Nearly all ingredients are produced domestically. Among other measures, soup is prepared with love fresh every morning using bonito and kombu to ensure children can eat safe and comforting meals.
Additionally, we take detailed measures such as dividing meal contents according to children’s age and developmental stage. For children with allergies, we try to avoid giving them a completely different meal. We try to provide them with meals as similar to other children as possible, implementing cooking methods and ingredients for accommodating their allergies.
